Why do I speak in rhymes
In these depressing times,
With riddles fit for a king,
Why do I dance and sing?
I dance and prance
Unsure in my stance
Juggling my life up and down
Always laughing but wanting to frown.
I long for love and love for long,
Yet no one answers my song!
My disfigured face, stained with tears,
Destroyed after all these years.
I make others laugh, others giggle
While what I ask for is simple.
Yet no one understands me,
They don't look beyond what the eye can see.
So here I stay, lonely as ever
Here I stay, saying something clever
Nothing changed, nothing ever does,
Everything is as it always was.
Do you find yourself in situations where the discussion steers towards something you have strong opinions but you know the majority will not share your thoughts and will definitely gang up on you, even if you raise a valid point or if it's based on cold statistics, other verifiable data or just common sense?
What comes to me, I want to ponder things from all angles, even those which are considered controversial. However, I'm usually bad at explaining my thoughts clearly, especially in face to face conversations (writing this isn't much easier, but at least I have some time to think this trough before posting).
